Über mich

The final day of my 2016 season. I hiked 53 KM to Cascade Locks, the Oregon/Washington border.

Welcome! My name is Melli (trail name Flower), and I love to travel the world! A couple of years ago, I hiked a part of the Camino de Santiago (Jacob’s Way) in Switzerland, and it lit my passion for long distance hiking. In 2016, I hiked 900 miles in the U.S. on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), from Truckee, CA to the Oregon/Washington border. Now I am preparing for a full PCT thru-hike in 2017. This hike will be nearly 4,300 KM from Mexico to Canada! Please follow along on what is sure to be an amazing adventure!

I accomplished my goal! The end of my 900 mile long hike in 2016. The border between Oregon and Washington is denoted by the wide Columbia Gorge, and traversed by the Bridge of the Gods. I hiked 53 KM on this final day, reaching the bridge by nearly 10 PM.
